I Remember when
By Lydia BorntoWrite Cook:
I remember hating the color of my skin.
Buying affection from so called friends!
Have you ever accepted abuse, and labeled it “Love”?
Have you ever gave people power they didn’t deserve?I have….BUT GOD…BUT GRACE…BUT MERCY!!!
I recall seasons in my life when I was angry with God…
filled with regret, pain and strife.
Didn’t have the heart to pray…
bursting with emotions,
yet didn’t know what to say!
Ever felt so low, and the lack of self-esteem, gave birth to self-hatred?
Been there my friend!!!
BUT THANK GOD...

I Remember When by Lydia BorntoWrite Cook
NOT ANYMORE!...Mhh…Mhh…I remember nights that were consumed with darkness! Pissed and Refusing to forgive, damaged by those who shattered my world as a kid. Mhh…Mhh…
Hate filter through my mind, then deposited helplessness in my Soul.
Nights, I wished I was stronger, with God’s courage in my spine.Ever longed for true freedom??
Ever dreamed of a life with no chains??Days with no tears…a life with no shame…
YES…I REMEMBER WHEN!!
Ever wondered why you were born? Well, you’re NOT ALONE…I use to think I was worthless,
no value for my life, no thought for tomorrow, my heart weighed in sorrow.
YES, I REMEMBER WHEN…
No matter who Loved me, I never felt it deep within.I was buried in pain, immersed in sin
Forgetting that God was my Father, and he calls me Friend! I taught myself how to lie in the midst of my smile.Acting as if all was perfect, though my Spirit man cried. I remember feeling all alone!! Holding on to that damaged child, Even though I was grown…Ever been through any of these storms? Maybe you’re still living these very sad episodes…Let me tell you Friend…NEVER GIVE UP!!! GOD TRULY KNOWS!!! HE cares for you, and longs to see you live, and not JUST exist!
He deemed you to be born again, and have new chances.
He compels US TO FORGET AND FORGIVE THOSE TRANSGRESSIONS OF THE PAST,
AND PUT OUR FAITH AND TRUST IN HIM!!!
No, life will never be Perfect, BUT we can abide in perfection.WE CAN REST IN HIS ARMS…
when our HEART’S ARE overwhelmed, we can lean & trust His Flawless LOVE!!
No matter how MUCH mistreatment, or rejection we've endured!
God commissions US to step out of the SHADOWS…and allow our Pain to become POWER for others…And permit our struggle to become STRENGTH for someone else! Beloved, you are accepted at the throne,There is new life. You don’t have to fight ALONE…Mhh…Mhh…
We DON’T have to abide in a war zone, when our enemy has long left the battle!
STAND UP AND WALK IN TRUE VICTORY!!! I know it’s not easy; some can violate our trust, and attempt to infiltrate our minds with those nasty demons of negativity! Sometimes it may feel as if ALL is lost…but that evil one is a liar, and the father of deceit!!!He wants US to give up, so he can feel as if he wins…BUT THE DEVIL IS A DECEIVER, AND HE KNOWS HE’S ALREADY LOST…
We just have to know this for ourselves!ALWAYS REMEMBER, the plans God has for us are of PEACE & NOT OF evil! YES, I REMEMBER WHEN…
